THE SHOW MUST GO ON IN COPPULL WITH A RAINBOW TO BOOT!

On Tuesday evening I was heading to my scheduled Blood Bike talk with a small degree of trepidation after the sudden loss of one of our colleagues Russ Curwen only 3 days before. However as I arrived with Colm Carton our Central Area Manager the welcome we received from Dot and the rest of the ladies of Spendmore Lane Friendship Hour diminished any concerns within seconds. I don’t believe Colm had chance to even get off his bike before getting a great big hug!

Chorley Yamaha Open Day - 7th April 2018

For the second year in a row this event has been an incredibly wet one but we didn’t let the rain dampen our spirits.

We had the lovely Marion to attract people over and have a chance to sit on a liveried blood bike. (thanks Simon for entrusting her to us), a large selection of merchandise and of course as has become a tradition a selection of cakes to raise money through donations. We had lots of enquiries and hopefully these will result in new members of the charity plus a few future events.

    Euxton Library - Talk

Amanda Mason writes: We were recently contacted by Kath Deakin from Euxton Village Library asking if we would be available at 10.30 last Thursday morning. Ironically I now work in Euxton so it did feel like I was heading to work that morning although a little later than normal.

Becky Newton, Events and Talks Coordinator for our Central area writes:

What a start to Central area’s events for 2018! We were contacted only a week before the grand opening of Ghost Bikes’ new premises in Preston and at short notice it was a big ask to pull it all together, but we did it with a brilliant turn out of members from all areas including those from another Blood Bike Group! Not seen so many people in Hi Viz or so many liveried bikes in a long while
