    Sunday 29th September 2013, a joint team of Pathology people from Royal Preston Hospital and Blood Bikes got together for an It's A Knockout competition at Guys Court, Myerscough, Preston. Great day and great fun, albeit exhausting.

    Scrabble Run

    This year's Scrabble run, organised by Andy Gilroy and the Baxenden Motorcycle Club resulted in them raising money to buy us a Garmin Sat Nav for one of the bikes. Big thanks to all who took part and for considering us.

  • Poorly Little Boy

    At 14:20 hrs on Friday 9th August 2013, Lee Townsend, night controller from the previous night, received a call from Blackpool Pharmacy with a request for a Very Urgent run to Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool, to collect some life saving drugs for a very poorly little boy in Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

  • Long Way Down

    Long Way Down

    Following the Long Way Down, ridden by Paul Whithead in just over 20 hours, Paul handed NWBB L&L a cheque for over £800. He also set up a Just Giving account which doubled that amount. Fantastic and well done again, with a big thanks to all those who supported him, including; Northumbria Blood Bikes, Durham motorcycle Police and White Knights.

  • 1500 runs

    Last night 22nd July 2013 another milestone for NWBB Lancs & Lakes was reached. 1,500 runs. Wendy as Controller and Paul A as rider. Well done everyone, this year is going to be busy because we have three new hospitals coming on-line soon too, watch this space.
