NWBB - North Area - Westmorland General Volunteer of the Month
Our North region provides out of hours transport link Furness General Hospital Barrow, Westmorland General, Lancaster Royal Infirmary and Royal Preston Hospitals. At the beginning of June the Chairman received a letter from our friends at Westmorland General Hospital, Kendal announcing that NWBBLancs and Lakes - North Area and had been chosen as “Volunteer of the Month” for steadfastly keeping out of hours transport going through the Covid 19 Emergency and saving the Trust an estimated £13,000. Congratulations to Area Manager John Walker and all in the North team for managing so flexibly and effectively during a very busy period.
