On Saturday 4th May 2013, following months of negotiation between us and departments of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, we have finally started running for them. Initially only for their Pharmacy with regular runs at weekends and Bank Holidays, but hopefully that will grow. Our Patron, Bobby Ball, came along for a photo shoot, which is sure to help. He is well known at the Hospital and of course well liked. Rock On Tommy!

Some time ago Andy Gilroy (Fleet Manager) put Jennings Race Products up for an award to MCN and they got it. BIKE SHOP OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH. They are over the moon. Well done Jennings, and Andy for putting them forward. Jennings have been great for us, they safety check all the bikes, which they are steadily going through at the moment, as well as servicing them at a vastly reduced rate. They also give discounts to all our guys and have a great deal with Michelin tyres.

Pete Slater, one of our riders, knows all about carrying blood for the cause, but not spilling it. Poor Peter decided to shed some of his own blood, not for the cause, and is now in hospital. A simple nose bleed which turned into a gusher. We all wish you well Peter, get better soon, we need you. Paul Brooks (Chairman)

Some time ago our Chairman, Paul Brooks spoke with the sales Manager, Paul Gaskell, at Simpsons Skoda in Preston and Paul was so impressed with what we are doing he started the ball rolling to try and offer us a car to use in the bad weather and for helping the hospitals transport larger items than we could carry on a bike. Well all our wishes have come true, thanks to Simpsons and especially Paul Gaskell and his team. They have not given us any old car, they've given us a brand new model, the Skoda Rapid, all liveried up for us and ready to go as a RAPID

Another group of hospitals, namely Morecambe Bay Hospitals, have asked for our help and we have agreed to go live when we have sufficient volunteer riders to cover the runs. If you are reading this and you are a biker and wish to join us, please fill in the "Contact" page and we will get the ball rolling. Morecambe Bay is a massive area, but to start we have agreed to do the runs between Kendal (WGH) and Lancaster (LRI) as a starter, and we are looking to start this service on either 19th April or 3rd May dependent on the number of riders we have.
