Support Our Work
North West Blood Bikes is a non-profit charity staffed completely by volunteers who give up their time to provide the service. Our funding comes from fundraising at events and supporters, with every donation making a huge difference.
Meet the Team
Our team of volunteers is made up of all sorts of people from all walks of life. The one thing we have in common is that we want to help with this worthy cause. Here you can find out a bit about us, maybe you will be inspired to join us.
What Do We Do?
We are a group of volunteers who respond to calls from the hospitals and dispatch our motorcycle riders to collect and deliver urgently needed items for NHS hospitals. These items include blood, platelets, samples for analysis, medication and more.
Whole Blood & Platelets
We transport urgently needed whole blood and platelets between hospitals.
Samples for Analysis
Our team rapidly transfers samples to hospitals for analysis.
Medication & Patient Notes
We transport medication and patient notes between hospitals.
Donor Breast Milk
Our riders ensure donor breast milk is delivered to those in need.
Small Medical Equipment
Our drivers deliver small medical equipment to hospitals.

We are always on the lookout for new volunteers in various roles to keep expanding our time and supporting the NHS and community. Alternatively, we are also always looking for new supporters, who provide the funding that allows us to keep delivering our services and saving lives.
