Meet the people that make it happen

Colin became Chair in 2022 and brings his senior leadership and management experience in the technology and venture capital industry to the Charity.

Bill is the Secretary of the Charity as well as a West Area Rider. He is F.B.O.S. (First Bike on Scene) trained.

Sarah is an incredibly active fundraising leader for North West Bloodbikes.

NWBB could not function without our team of dedicated controllers directing every delivery. Vinny was appointed Operations Manager to lead that team and joined the Committee in May 2026. In his day job he works in Medical Logistics.]

West rider, Barry looks after procurement and management of our fleet of motorcycles and cars. He also has oversight of the procedures to ensure safety & competence on the road.

Doug is a long-standing and very and active rider member in Fylde Area. Doug joined the Committee in May2026 to add to our overall management capabilities.

Susan is the Events and Talks coordinator for our North area which comprises of the Kendal, Lancaster and Barrow areas.

An active rider herself, Kimberley also looks after the organisation of public and fundraising events in our East area.

Headquarters Manager – Mark is an active and experienced controller, former vice chairman and now looks after the management of our Bamber Bridge HQ and the volunteers that help there

Jacqui is our Rota Manager and puts us all in our place.

David Clayton grew up in Blackpool and ran his own accident repair shop. A relatively recent member of the Fylde rider team he has offered his organization and management skills as Fylde Area Manager.

Jon is Deputy Area Manager for Central. Jon is also our Deputy Fleet Manager

John is the Area Manager for our North area. (Furness, South Lakes, Westmorland)

Trevor is the Manager for our East area. Trevor assists with the induction of new riders on the East area. Legend has him associated with some very wet riding conditions but in truth he has also enjoyed the occasional pleasant sunny shift also.

Janice is the Manager of the donor breast milk hub which supplies the Neonatal Units in our region. She is also an active member of the controller team who direct all our delivery activities.

As well as being Deputy Milk Manager John is also part of our controller team

Tony is our Membership Secretary

Tony is our Rider Recruitment.

Garry is our Health & Safety Manager and applies his professional experience and expertise to our rules procedures and risk assessments.

Peter is happily retired after a long and grueling career in management in the private security industry.
As well as operating as a Rider in East Area he also serves as Chaplain for all of North West Blood Bikes. The role is very firmly “for-all-faiths-and-none” so regardless of your persuasion, or absence of one, Peter is available for friendly confidential chats.

Haydn has been a member since the founding of the Charity and holds the distinction of being the rider on-call for our very first shift.
