    Long Way Down

    Following the Long Way Down, ridden by Paul Whithead in just over 20 hours, Paul handed NWBB L&L a cheque for over £800. He also set up a Just Giving account which doubled that amount.   • 1500 runs

    Last night 22nd July 2013 another milestone for NWBB Lancs & Lakes was reached. 1,500 runs. Wendy as Controller and Paul A as rider. Well done everyone, this year is going to be busy because we have three new hospitals coming on-line soon too, watch this space.

  • Heart Start

    Heart Start

    On Tuesday 9th July 2013 several of our volunteered were treated to a Heart Start course by Lancashire's Ambulance Service charity. Besides general First Aid, which was a refresher for many, the group were shown how to use an A.E.D. Defibrilators which are being placed in many public buildings and many lage stores around the County over the next few months.

  • First Prize

    First Prize

    Saturday 6th July 2013 was St Anne's Carnival and we had a stand there manned by the Fylde Guys.

    Two liveried motorcycles led a group of motorcycles within the parade and ended up with a very busy stand, but best of all we were presented with a First Prize Trophy for best Church Charity, which we will keep for 1 year.

    Hi All our followers. Paul Whitehead, one of our riders set off from John O'Groats at 03;30 hrs this morning 2nd July 2013 and rode all the way to Lands End just within the 20 hours (just under 21 hours) arriving at Lands End at 00:26 hrs.

  • The Great North Swim

    14th, 15th & 16th June 2013 was a 3 day event on Lake Windermere at the Low Wood Hotel, Ambleside. 16,000 competitors over the 3 days with their families cheering them on, so somewhere in the region of 45,000 people in total. NWBB Lancs & Lakes of course were there flying the flag and under the gazebo much of Friday, but the weather got better and the lake stayed where it should instead of coming out on us.
